All My Friends is a love letter to the insects that live in American houses. The painting is based on the research presented in The Habitats Humans Provide: Factors affecting the diversity and composition of arthropods in houses written by Misha Leong, Matthew A. Bertone, Amy M. Savage, Keith M. Bayless, Robert R. Dunn, and Michelle D. Trautwein. Reading this study prompted a months long investigation, documentation, and celebration of all my dearest friends, the ones that share my home with me.
